	About us Projects Contact Svenska		Efem Architects Ltd Efem architects are committed to sustainable architecture and planning. Our work includes a variety of residential and other building designs, additions, and alterations. We are also involved in education, for example by arranging lectures and seminars. We specialise in the design of buildings with a low environmental impact, and have long experience in solving architectural and planning challenges in a sustainable, environmentally sensitive, healthy and energy-efficient way. Efem architects are pioneers in the building of passive houses in Sweden. Passive houses are so airtight and well-insulated that they use only a fraction of the heating energy of standard buildings. They are designed as an integrated system, taking energy, ventilation, air quality, comfort, aesthetics and economy into account. Nearly all the energy needed is supplied “passively” by the inhabitants, household appliances and the sun.
